Educational Portal System
The central component of the digital School is the Educational Portal System
which offers a number of benefits to various user groups from administrators,
teachers and support staff to parents and students, each of whom is allowed
access only to relevant areas.
School administrators have access to administrative information which they can
share with each other and the entire academic community. To allow them a more
active role in their children’s education parents can view and monitor their
children's assignments, test scores and grades links to which the students also
have access.
School Management System
The School Management System (SMS) handles library management, school
accounts, student and staff records, timetabling and a wide range of school
related data. The SMS is an interactive gateway for parents, teachers, students,
and administrators. Important information can be shared and streamlined to
simplify the record keeping process.
In addition
to automating creation of timetables, a school can use the application to
computerize various other activities such as the examinations process, grading
system, fee payment, student attendance, library usage and news and event
management. The application also provides web-based interaction facility to
parents, teachers and students.
Learning Management System
The Learning Management System (LMS) is a computer based learning environment
where students can assist in structured lessons, follow simulations, take
quizzes and acquire instant feedback. All student activity is tracked by the LMS,
allowing the teacher to follow up on their students’ progress and provide
on-line feedback. Parents can access their children’s work to monitor their
progress.
Assessment Management System
The Assessment Management System (AMS) is used for formative and collective
testing. Teachers can create and store questions in a wide range of formats,
assemble them into tests and quizzes and store them in test banks for present or
future use. Students are scheduled to take regular assessments the results of
which are published to the web automatically for viewing by the students
themselves, their parents, teachers and administrators.

learning such as Interactive Whiteboards, Bluetooth Tablet, Voting System,

The Smart School
UKS assists schools and school districts in
creating a multimedia rich educational experience, the ultimate outcome being
the Smart School where teachers, students and parents can benefit from an integrated
learning environment. The Smart School is created by combining educational software,
hardware and systems such as, an Educational Portal System linking a Learning
Management System (LMS), a School Management System (SMS), an Assessment Management
System (AMS), the Interactive Classroom, Digital Repository Learning Objects
and Language Lab

Language Lab
UKS provides interactive learning material for
the language lab. The learner acquires knowledge through real life videos, audio
recordings and reading passages. The learner not only hears native speakers use
new and useful vocabulary, but he/she can record the words or phrases and have
the utterances analysed using the same software. No longer confined to a formal
language lab, the registered student can access this material from his computer
at school or at home. With a built-in LMS, the software allows the teacher to
monitor the student and keep records of his/her progress.
Digital Repository
UKS has integrated its portal with leading
digital repositories to simplify the uploading and retrieving of learning objects
in different file formats. Those learning objects can be used as supporting materials
for the teachers as well as in-class activities and/or homework assignments.
School District Portal Solution
UKS, in collaboration with
its partners, developed a comprehensive easy to use portal system for school
districts and K-12 educational organizations. The portal includes modules such
as the calendar, homework, announcements, exams, grade books and many more state-of-the-art
industry standard modules. The system also acts as a content management solution
by aggregating information from distributed sources and enabling the information
to be quickly and easily browsed by the students, parents and teachers. Each
school has its own administrators and the district has administrators that can
monitor all the schools.
